I am an IT Trainer at our company (500 people in house and another 500+ at warehouse locations and field staff). Currently we are targeting our staff at our corporate office. I offer computer training every day and each session typically takes 30-45 minutes on one specific topic, for example, Excel Macros.
I typically have 4-5 people in each session, but I would like to have more attend. I have some people here that want to learn more about computers because the love to learn and also realize it will save them time. The others say they don’t have time.
I am working with our web developers to create a site that has e-learning and list the classes they can register that I have scheduled. I will include a point system and as they accumulate points for attending they can choose prizes. I am also going to have a contest that each class you attend you will be entered to win a printer. Finally, I email newsletter with tips and also have a question with a give away as well.
Any ideas
I am trying to get more people to attend classes or want to attend. What can I do to make it more appealing, marketing that will interest them, etc?

I have an IP address and also the email header. Could you point me in the right direction as to how I could discover the email address where it originated?

I deleted my old Alternate email address on my yahoo account and added a new one, but the old one says schelduled for deletion. How long does it take to delete it?

I don’t have the exact specifics in front of me, but it goes a little something like this…..
The Feds are looking for a $700bil bailout bill to take care of the banks and corporate America. This seems a little backwards. If you bail them out, how is the average American any better off than they are now? The damage is already done….and it’s getting worse by the day. So, this email states instead of taking out $700bil, take out $85bil and give a % to every person who paid taxes for 2007, much like the “tax relief” that was done earlier this year, but on a much grander scale. Now, this is where “do the math” comes in. There are roughly 220,000,000 Americans that are 18 or over, but not sure what the percentage is that paid taxes. Still, that’s roughly $258,000/person who paid taxes. Now, use stipulations. If you are behind on mortgages or are in the process of foreclosure, this money would go directly to the banks and whatever is left over, if any, would go back to the person. Think about it…if you owned a home and had a mortgage, and the Government gave you $258,000, what would you do? I know I would pay off all my debts including mortgages. This solves the bank crisis, brings back the housing market, takes care of the auto industry because you know people will buy new cars….it will grow our economy. Now….cons. You would see some inflation and the dollare may dip for a while, but as the economy gets stronger that will take care of itself. What are the major no no’s to this idea? I’m having a hard time finding them….
I mean think about this…..$700bil corporate fix or $85bil American people fix…..
Sorry, math was off. It’s about $386,000 per person.
quizzard, now your math is off. Add a few more zeros to your figures.

How do you get a violation?

In: Words & Wordplay

Who determines what is and is not a violation?

I received an email that my question was deleted because it was a violation and I have no idea why. I simply asked what the terms “cookie, cracker, biscuit” mean in different places that posters may be from. I asked because I am from Texas where a biscuit means a fluffy dough thing and I went to India where they call all cookies and some crackers biscuits. I was wondering where else this is common.

Here is the email I received. Can anyone tell me who determines this and what I can do to respond since obviously someone is just trying to mess with me:

Yahoo is really ticking me off. I have had yahoo search marcketing (pay per click) for a few months and I want to be able to use up all the credits that are stored in my account and not have them charge me anymore! When I have lots of money store in my account, I get an email from them saying “we charged your credit card to add more funds to your account” I don’t even need them! So, I want to discontinue this, be able to finsih off all my credits stored and be done with it. Any ideas on how to do this?

I have an eproduct. something which teaches on how to make money in the real world!.. I have read that best way to market is to get into a joint venture, a business partnership with people who have huge email lists. Question is , how and where can i find such people to do business with?

If anyone is interested, please write to me here…

I hope this is allowed on yahoo answers. I joined it today for this reason only.
